New Citibank Card, $500 in free travel
on August 4th, 2011 at 9:52 pmCitiCards is now offering a credit card called “Citi ThankYou Premier Credit Card” with a 50,000 point bonus. These are not miles, but instead they are points that can be redeemed for gift cards or free travel. The ThankYou network has a travel portal similar to Expedia and Traveliocity. Every 100 points equals $1 of free travel. You have to charge $2,000 within 3 months go get that bonus and there is a stiff annual fee of $125.
Worth it? If you want $375 (after paying for $125 annual fee) of free travel without restrictions and have already used the Chase Sapphire and Venture Capital card bonuses, this card may be right for you. Most cards come fee-free the first year, so I will be holding off on this one.
