Choice Hotels: Quadruple Points this fall

If you register in advance with Choice Hotels, you will earn 4 times the normal amount of points (roughly 2-3 nights stayed equals one free hotel night depending on the class of hotels stayed at and the class of hotel you are trying to book for free).  You must book via 800-4CHOICE or on the Choice Hotel web page.  Simple plan, great rewards if you plan to stay with Choice Hotels this fall between August 25 and November 3, 2011.  Choice Hotels includes Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, Mainstay Suites, Suburban, Rodeway Inn and Econolodge.

InterContinental: Fall Rewards Plan, up to 80,000 bonus points

Priority Club Rewards is the reward program for the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) which includes Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, Crowne Plaza and Candlewood Suites.  With Priority Club Rewards, you earn 10 points for each $1 spent and can redeem these points for as low as 10,000 points.   Like 7 other hotel chains, IHG is offering great bonuses this fall:

  • Earn 500 bonus points or 100 miles for every eligible night
  • Earn double bonus points/miles for staying at two IHG brands
  • Earn triple bonus points/miles for staying at three IHG brands
  • Earn quadruple bonus points/miles for staying at four or more IHG brands

You have to register for the plan in advance and can only earn 80,000 points (or 16,000 miles if you opt for miles versus hotel points).

United: 750 easy miles in just a few minutes

Do you use MyPoints?  Sign up and you can earn 750 MileagePlus miles on United Airlines.  MyPoint is a site where you can earn points that can be turned into reward travel points for shopping, signing up for trial offers and playing games.  For minimal effort you can earn 750 miles.  For a little more effort, you can earn more points to transfer into miles.

Delta: 100% bonus on purchased miles

Just a few days ago, I wrote about the 100% miles bonus offered for purchased miles from US Airways.  Delta is now has a similar offer for Delta SkyMiles.  If you gift the miles to someone else, they receive the bonus.  The bonus is capped at 60,000 purchased miles for a total of 120,000 miles with the bonus.  There is a $30 processing fee.  As I mentioned with the US Airways deal, I do not recommend purchasing miles unless you need to redeem award travel and you are a short amount away from the requirements needed without enough time to earn the difference.

Delta: 4x miles at Home Depot

From now through the 18th, Delta SkyMiles is offering 4 miles per every $1 spent at HomeDepot.com.  The best part of Home Depot’s web page when used for miles is that they have a high percentage of items sold with free shipping and they allow you to purchase many items on the web page where you can pick it up in the store.  End of summer projects?  Snow blower for the winter perhaps?  Just yesterday I discussed with my wife how I need a new leaf blower.  Just a few moments ago I ordered a new one for $70 with free shipping that I would have been buying anyways and earned 280 frequent flier miles.  Not a bad deal whatsoever.  Go check it out:  click here!
