Valentine’s day is around the corner, which means it is time to start thinking about what you are getting your significant other.  Valentines Day (as well as Mother’s Day) is a time of the year where you can get mega-miles for shopping through the Airline portals.  As of right now, you can earn up to 30 miles per dollar for each dollar spent.  In previous years it has been up to 40.  There is a possibility that we’ll see higher point levels as the day approaches.  Nonetheless, earning 30 miles per dollar spent for any purchase is huge, especially a purchase that you were going to make already anyways.  Here is a chart that shows the payouts by airline mileage mall:

In addition to flowers, there are great bonuses on the shopping portals right now for jewelry, clothing, chocolate and other gifts.  Check it out.   You are going to spend the money anyways, so you might as well earn some points while you are at it.
